James Franklin mentioned the fight that took place in the Michigan Stadium tunnel before the second half of last Saturday’s game. Penn State ended up losing 41-17 after being down by two points at halftime.

This is not the first time that a fight has happened in the tunnel. Franklin wants it to be the last time. Michigan Stadium’s tunnel isn’t like most in that both teams use it to enter the field.

Here’s what Franklin had to say about it per The Athletic’s Audrey Synder:

“The one tunnel is a problem and has been,” Franklin said with regards to the tunnel in Ann Arbor. “We’re not the first team to get into a jawing match in the tunnel.”

The tunnel was recently named after longtime head coach Lloyd Carr. Carr won the team’s last national title back in 1997.

Michigan might be hesitant to make changes to its historic tunnel.
