Jim Harbaugh claims 3-game suspension is much worse than a slap on the wrist

Jim Harbaugh has a message for anyone trying to describe his 3-game suspension as a “slap on the wrist.” According to Michigan’s head coach, the suspension hurts much worse than that.
During his Monday press conference, Harbaugh said the suspension — a move self-imposed by Michigan — is more accurately portrayed as a baseball bat across the knees. Wolverine OC Sherrone Moore is also reportedly suspended for the season opener.
“I’ve heard people comment ‘It’s a slap on the wrist.’ It’s more like a baseball bat to the kneecaps or to the shoulder,” said Harbaugh.
Jim Harbaugh says his three-game suspension isn’t a slap on the wrist.

At the end of the day, it’s hard to see Harbaugh’s description of the suspension, provided the 3-game suspension appeases the NCAA. Then again, it would be understandable for Harbaugh to believe the suspension is an overreach if he maintains his innocence in the investigation.
Prior to the season, it was reported that Harbaugh was actually going to serve a 4-game suspension due to a negotiated resolution with the NCAA. After that agreement fell through, Michigan announced a self-imposed suspension as Harbaugh’s case is expected to move through the Committee on Infractions.
The good news for Michigan is that the Wolverines will be heavy favorites in every game of Harbaugh’s suspensions.
