After catching flack for not updating Michigan’s 2017 football roster and being probed with a public records request, Jim Harbaugh tweeted a response to his critics.
NJ.com recently filed a public records request to receive Michigan’s updated roster for a story about New Jersey natives playing B1G football. Harbaugh, though, claims to have a good reason for not having an updated roster:
Final tryouts for roster spots on 2017 Michigan Football Team can start no earlier than 8/28. Roster to be determined & publicized on 8/30.
— Coach Harbaugh (@CoachJim4UM) August 20, 2017
Many believe this is just the latest in Harbaugh’s many tactics to keep Michigan’s preseason workings secretive and there isn’t a real reason behind the roster being hidden.
According to NJ.com, the Wolverines are the only B1G team to not have an updated roster for the 2017 season.
