JJ McCarthy got his second consecutive start at quarterback for Michigan as the Wolverines dominated UConn 59-0 at home. McCarthy had a good game against UConn as he completed 15-of-18 of his passes for 214 yards.
After the game, McCarthy explained what it’s like as he tries to find growth and progress with the offense:
“I mean, with every game, you just get more and more comfortable and being more and more comfortable, the progress is just going to be more exponential,” explained McCarthy. “Playing around these guys, the greatness rubs off on you and makes things easy out. Just getting through the reads, everything is slowing down. My mind is not racing anymore, my mind is slowing down. I just feel at ease out there, that is something that has changed from last year to this year. Just having those kinds of experiences, it feels like it is putting out that exponential growth.”
