John Torchio, key Wisconsin DB, teases potential change of plans for 2023 season

John Torchio has been a key defender for Wisconsin in 2022. After previously setting his plans for 2023, it sounds like the veteran defensive back could have a change of heart.
Torchio previously announced that the 2022 season would be his final year of college football. He led the Badgers this season with 5 interceptions — including a pair of pick-six touchdowns — and added 5 pass breakups with 51 total tackles.
However, in comments on Monday ahead of Wisconsin’s Guaranteed Rate Bowl appearance, Torchio left the door open for a return to Wisconsin in 2023. He also said to watch for an official announcement on what’s next after the game.
Didn’t say much, but definitely didn’t say Tuesday was his last game, which was the original plan. #Badgers https://t.co/oelZv4dPHp

It will be interesting to see what Torchio ultimately decides on after Tuesday’s bowl game. Torchio originally joined the program in the 2018 recruiting class, so it would not be surprising to see him still elect to move on to the NFL.
Tuesday’s game against Oklahoma State is set for 10:15 pm ET on ESPN.,
