Jonathan Taylor garners preseason ‘Ultimate Herbie’ recognition

This is one special award for a truly unique player.
On Friday night, ESPN hosted a special preseason show as analyst Kirk Herbstreit released his preseason “Herbie Awards.” At the conclusion of the season, Herbstreit will release the winners for the 2019 season, but it is always good to know who is on his radar ahead of Week 1.

The highest award he presents is known as “The Ultimate Herbie.” It is awarded to the player that epitomizes everything that college football is about and goes beyond just performance on the field.
Heading into 2019, Herbstreit has Jonathan Taylor listed as the Ultimate Herbie winner:

We will have to wait and see if Taylor holds onto that title at the end of the season.
