This Minnesota DB had a strong game in the win over Fresno State, and his performance caught the eye of Kirk Herbstreit.

The Golden Gophers took on Fresno State Saturday in what turned out to be a tight battle. Minnesota hung on to win 21-14 after outscoring the Bulldogs 11-7 in the fourth quarter, and the team was able to hang on thanks to a late interception by Antoine Winfield.

His clutch, one-handed interception was one of the highlights of Week 2. He displayed impressive instincts and athletic ability to make the play. Along with the interception, Winfield recorded five total tackles with four solo stops.

When listing his top performers from Week 2 of the CFB season, Herbstreit listed Winfield as the No. 5 player performance of the week.

It is certainly a cool individual honor for Winfield and a bit of national recognition for the Gophers. Minnesota will look to move to 3-0 when the Gophers take on Miami (Ohio) Saturday.
