Leon Lowery is committed to the Wisconsin Badgers again.

Lowery, a former Syracuse linebacker who entered the transfer portal, originally pledged to Luke Fickell’s program on Sunday. But on Monday, he changed his mind, cryptically tweeting “Stand on what you believe in and know your worth” and on Tuesday stating “From this moment on I’ll be handling all of my recruitment personally.”

That culminated with Thursday’s events, which saw Lowery re-affirm his pledge to the Badgers.

“After thinking long and hard about my future it became clear to me what was really important,” he wrote on X. “I’ve had great discussions with my coaches and family… there’s not a better fit for me & my future than in Madison, Wisconsin!”

The Badgers are getting a strong player in Lowery. With the Orange in 2023, he totaled 46 tackles and 7.5 TFLs, 3.5 of those coming in the form of sacks.

A New Jersey native, Lowery joined the Syracuse roster in 2020, redshirting as a true freshman and playing twice in 2021. At Wisconsin, he will have 2 years of eligibility remaining.
