Markus Allen is in the transfer portal after beginning his career at Wisconsin. A member of the 2021 recruiting class for the Badgers, Allen entered the portal following the loss to Michigan State.

Now, Allen is in the process of setting up visits while he investigates his next destination. He announced on social media he will be taking an official visit to Kansas next weekend across Nov. 18-20, but it looks like Allen is also in the process of taking an unofficial visit in the B1G.

Thursday evening, Allen dropped a pin in a tweet with his location tagged as Minneapolis, meaning Allen is likely taking an unofficial visit to the Gophers ahead of Week 11.

Coming out of high school, Allen was a 4-star WR on the 247 Sports Composite Rankings from Northmont High School in Clayton, Ohio. He had no shortage of Power 5 offers, including from programs around the B1G.

Anything could happen moving forward, but it will be interesting to see if PJ Fleck and the Gophers leave a solid impression on Allen.
