Mel Tucker made it known that he was not feeling good about how his team played against Washington. He had a great response when referencing how he let an expletive slip in one of his recent comments.

Tucker was critical of himself after his defense let up 397 yards passing to Washington QB Michael Penix Jr. Tucker was hoping that his mom didn’t hear about what he said.

“I hope my mom’s not watching this press conference today,” said Tucker.

Michigan State is now 2-1 after the 38-29 loss at Washington. It’s still early for the Spartans, who can still turn things around. Tucker can still compete for a B1G East title, even after losing the talent he had from last season.

The Spartans finished 11-2 in 2021, and were very much in the conversation for a B1G title contender until losses to Purdue and Ohio State ended those hopes.

If Tucker seems scary to you, you haven’t met his mom.

Michigan State will get a chance to right the ship against Minnesota on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET on BTN.
