Nebraska’s wide receiver group has taken another hit, this time with a second receiver entering the transfer portal for the weekend.

On Saturday, it was Demariyon Houston to announce that he was entering the transfer portal after two seasons. Then on Sunday, a fellow member of the 2019 recruiting class announced he was also entering the portal to explore other options.

This time, it was Jamie Nance who announced his entry into the transfer portal:

Nance was a three-star member of the 2019 recruiting class out of Blanchard, Oklahoma. He committed to the Huskers over offers from Minnesota, Arkansas State, TCU, and Baylor, among others.

While it never looks great to see players enter the portal, these two decisions come from a position group that head coach Scott Frost has been pleased with throughout the spring. Earlier this week, Frost said the WR room has looked the best it has been during his time with the Huskers. With that in mind, it sounds like Houston and Nance are likely just looking for a chance to see the field when they might not have had an opportunity in Lincoln.

Best of luck to these two players as they move forward with their careers.
