Michigan State lost a commitment from standout defensive back/wide receiver prospect Syair Torrence Sunday afternoon. Now, the Spartans have lost another pledge following a loss to Rutgers and concerns without a long-term coach in place.

4-star offensive lineman Andrew Dennis of Mt. Pleasant HS in Michigan is the man in question. The 6-5 guard had been committed to Michigan State since April of this year.

Here’s his post announcing his intentions Monday afternoon:

That’s a big loss for the Spartans. Dennis is uber-athletic, with a background in track, baseball and even hockey. He’s a top-175 prospect according to 247Sports, considered to be the No. 158 overall player, No. 5 IOL and No. 3 player out of the state of Michigan.

Four prospects have decommitted from Michigan State in wake of Mel Tucker being fired for cause in late September. A few of those prospects decommitted just days before he was officially fired by the university, with the writing already well on the wall.

Who can right the ship in East Lansing?
