Aaron Henry was not in the starting lineup for Sunday’s game, but he still made the most of his time against Western Michigan.

Just before tipoff, it was announced that Henry would not be starting against the Broncos. The reason was listed as a disciplinary reason as Henry was late to a team meeting on Saturday.

Once he did hit the floor, Henry was his usual well-rounded self. He finished with 12 points – a team-high for a bench player – to go with four rebounds, five assists, and a block in 31 minutes played. While Henry may still be looking to hone in his shooting touch early in the season, he continues to be one of the best all-around players on the floor for the Spartans.

After the game, Henry was asked about being left out of the starting lineup. He said he expected nothing left from Izzo despite being a minute and a half late to a film session.

Beyond that, Henry said it was a lesson learned and all is good moving forward:

It sure sounds like Henry will be back in the starting lineup Wednesday for the road trip to No. 15 Virginia.
