Maryland’s season started off well, but, hasn’t gone as according to plan since then.

The Terrapins were 2-0 overall and outscored their opponents 142-20. Since then, however, Maryland has gone 1-3 and lost 59-0 to Penn State and 40-14 to Purdue. The team’s lone Big Ten win came against Rutgers.

On Tuesday, the morale around the team likely didn’t increase too much. Mike Locksley, Maryland’s coach, announced that a senior starter would be out for the remainder of the season:

Ellis, a cornerback, was a game captain for the first game of the season. Ellis left the game last week with an upper body injury and apparently won’t be back for the remainder of 2019.

Maryland hosts Indiana for a 3:30 p.m. ET kickoff Saturday and the game will be televised on BTN.
