Minnesota cashes in on Ohio State’s miscues, retake the lead with TD run by Mo Ibrahim

The second half is off and running with Ohio State and Minnesota trading blows in Minneapolis.

Coming out of halftime, the Buckeyes wasted no time putting together a solid drive. Quarterback C.J. Stroud shook off some of his first-half mistakes by keeping the offense moving and hitting Chris Olave with a nice touchdown. That score made it 17-14 Buckeyes.

On Minnesota’s ensuing possession, Ohio State could not get out of its own way and helped keep the Gophers on the field. The first miscue came on an obvious pass interference call:

After that, Ohio State initially appeared to get off the field with an interception of quarterback Tanner Morgan. It was a strong pass rush from the Buckeyes that forced Morgan into an uncharacteristically bad throw that was easily intercepted. Unfortunately, a roughing the passer call on a hit to Morgan’s head kept the drive alive.

Two plays later, Mohamed Ibrahim cashed in those miscues with his second touchdown of the game. That made it 21-17, Gophers:
