Purdue will be short several Boilermakers as they take on No. 21 Minnesota on Saturday.

On Monday, it was announced that S/LB Jalen Graham, RB King Doerue, WR Broc Thompson, and OT Cam Craig would all be out on Saturday.

The absence of Graham, who is suffering from a tibia impact fracture, will be felt on Purdue’s defense.  Last season, Graham was fifth on the team with 64 tackles, including 45 solo, 4 tackles-for-loss and 1 sack, and a pair of quarterback hurries.

On the opposite side of the ball, the Boilermakers will be missing Doerue and Thompson, both big producers for Purdue. Doerue led the team in rushing with 533 yards on 135 carries with a pair of rushing touchdowns last season. The senior RB rushed for 64 yards and a team-high 3 touchdowns before going down with a calf injury this season.

Thompson had career-highs 30 receptions and 457 yards in his first season with the Boilermakers after transferring from Marshall. Thompson was named MVP of last year’s Music City Bowl after recording 7 catches for 217 yards and 2 touchdowns in the game.

Hopefully, the Boilermakers will receive help from Reese Taylor, who went down in the loss to Michigan State after recording 3 tackles. He has been listed as a ‘game-time decision’ for Saturday.
