Nebraska is looking to add talent any way it can heading into Matt Rhule’s first season leading the program. On Monday, the Huskers added another transfer commitment, this time from a former in-state quarterback prospect converting to tight end.
The player is Caden Becker, a 6-foot-4 and 220-pound player that was a 3-star QB out of Skutt Catholic in Omaha. Per the 247 Sports Composite, Becker was the 10th overall player out of Nebraska for the 2022 recruiting class.
Becker began his career in the QB room at Wyoming but announced in April he was making a position change and hitting the transfer portal. In the end, he announced a commitment to play for Rhule and the Huskers:
AGTG! Blessed to announce my commitment to play at the University of Nebraska! Dream come true. #GBR @Adam_DiMichele @Coach_Ellsworth @Coach_Satt @CoachMattRhule @HuskersCJC pic.twitter.com/4xJ1tz5fAh

The addition of Becker will be an interesting one to follow as it is not immediately evident how he will be utilized. Still, the addition of Becker fits the mold of Nebraska recruiting on height, weight and speed as assistant coach Garret McGuire recently explained.
