Nebraska is needing to replace a number of pieces on the defense heading into 2022. The Huskers have turned to the portal to help replace a number of players, and they landed another veteran piece on Sunday.
This time, veteran defensive lineman Stephon Wynn Jr. committed to Nebraska via Twitter. He was a 4-star member of Alabama’s 2018 recruiting class.

Wynn joins fellow Alabama product safety Kaine Williams in transferring to Nebraska. In 4 seasons for the Tide, Wynn posted 16 total tackles. Listed at 6-foot-3 and 310 lbs., Wynn should be a nice addition to the defensive front for the Huskers.
Nebraska has turned to the transfer portal heavily this offseason with Wynn’s transfer bringing the Huskers’ tally up to 14 incoming transfers via the class of 2022. 6 of those transfers come on the defensive side of the ball, including Wynn, DL Devin Drew out of Texas Tech and Edge prospect Ochaun Mathis out of TCU.
