Nebraska volleyball’s win over Stanford delivers record-high ratings for ESPN

Nebraska volleyball gets to claim another record. The time, it’s a ratings record.
The No. 4 Huskers defeated No. 5 Stanford 3-1 on Tuesday. ESPN drew 466,000 viewers, a new record for a regular-season match.

Tuesday night’s win marked the first time Nebraska defeated Stanford since 2008. It was also the Huskers’ first win over a top-5 team in the regular season since 2017 at No. 2 Penn State.
The victory advances Nebraska to its first 8-0 start since 2016. The Huskers have yet to need to go to 5 sets in a match, sweeping 6 opponents.
Stanford is not Nebraska’s only win over a ranked team, the Huskers have already taken down No. 16 Creighton. No. 21 Kentucky is next on Nebraska’s schedule. The Wildcats are set to visit the Bob Devaney Sports Center on Sunday. The match is set for 6:30 p.m., with coverage on Big Ten Network/FOX Sports.
