The college football world was rocked Wednesday when the Big Ten Conference elected to put Ohio State in the Big Ten Championship Game.
In a monumental decision, the conference voted to take away the six-game minimum requirement for the Buckeyes as they are 5-0 and had their game against Michigan this coming Saturday canceled due to COVID-19.
Wednesday evening, Buckeyes head coach Ryan Day put a statement out reacting to the Big Ten’s decision to send Ohio State to the title game:

There is nothing too surprising in it as it is mostly what anyone would expect out of a coach of a team who’s getting rewarded. Now it’s up to Day to get Ohio State prepared for the title game.
Ohio State will play No. 14 Northwestern on Dec. 19 in Indianapolis with the kickoff time scheduled to be at Noon ET. The game will be televised by FOX.
If the Buckeyes are able to win that game, there’s a strong chance that the CFP Committee will put them in the Playoff.
