Ohio State is gearing up for the Fiesta Bowl National Semifinal, but a number of Buckeyes took an opportunity to spend time helping make Christmas a bit brighter for some children in Arizona.

On Monday, a group of Buckeyes had the opportunity to go on a shopping spree with local kids in Arizona. According to Dan Hope with Eleven Warriors, the children were a part of Child Crisis Arizona and were given $200 to spend on the spree.

The Ohio State players were on hand to guide them through the process, and it likely helps make the afternoon a bit more fun for the kids:

…each player partnered with a local child in need to guide them through a $200 shopping spree for clothing, shoes and sports equipment of their choice. Each child was also gifted a comforter from PlayStation, the Fiesta Bowl’s title sponsor.

Ohio State Football shared a video of some of the highlights from the outing:

It is definitely admirable to see these Buckeyes take time out of a busy schedule of preparation to help make an impact in a child’s life this holiday season. Their time spent with the children this afternoon likely makes a much larger impact than they will know.
