Ohio State’s D.J. Carton starts fastbreak with steal, caps it with alley-oop slam

D.J. Carton continues to play as advertised for the Buckeyes!
The former four-star recruit and freshman point guard is having a great start to his career. Though he continues to come off the bench for Ohio State, he is already turning heads with some strong plays.
Listed at 6-foot-2, Carton has already shown some nice speed and bounce to go along with good court vision. Every bit of his game was on display for this play.

In Monday’s game against Kent State, Carton was able to pull out a steal as one Kent State player drove for the lane. He quickly dished the ball ahead and sped into the open court to start the break.
Carton was also on the receiving end of an alley-oop, elevating just enough to throw it down and finish the break:

Carton posted 11 points, two rebounds, an assist, and a steal in a 71-52 win over Kent State. That pushed the No. 10 Buckeyes to a 6-0 record to start the season.
