Fans are well aware of Ohio State’s work on defense this season, but here is yet another example of how dominant the unit has been.

The Buckeyes lead the nation in points allowed per game. Currently at 7.9 points per game, Ohio State has allowed more than 10 points just once this season. That was in Week 1 against FAU.

In total, Ohio State has allowed 63 points through eight games. Even more impressive, the Buckeyes have scored more points off of turnovers than they have allowed for the entire season.

Yes, seriously. Ohio State has scored 76 points off of 17 turnovers in 2019. That means the Buckeyes are also averaging just over two turnovers a game this season while allowing just north of a touchdown per game.

Maybe it’s just us, but that sure seems like a great recipe for success:

The Buckeyes are idle for a Week 10 bye, but Ohio State will be in action against Maryland for Week 11.
