Stop us if you’ve heard this one: Jonathan Taylor was a beast for the Wisconsin Badgers Saturday.

This time, it was in non-conference action against Kent State. He went over 200 total yards from scrimmage with five touchdowns for the Badgers. During the big game, Taylor climbed even higher on two different all-time lists for Wisconsin.

Taylor now has 745 yards rushing on the season to go along with 16 total touchdowns. He has scored multiple times in all but one game of the season and is one of the best players in the country.

After the game, head coach Paul Chryst was asked about getting to witness Taylor’s continued Brilliance up close. While he toned down his response and didn’t campaign for his star player to get Heisman attention, Chryst admitted it was “neat” and said everyone on the team recognizes how special he is.

Evan Flood with Badger247 shared the video of Chryst’s post-game comments:

“It’s awesome, it never gets old,” explained Chryst. “I know it, we know it. He’s special. To be able to see it, it’s pretty neat to do.”

Though Chryst did not pump up Taylor, we certainly will. Taylor is undoubtedly one of the best all-around players in the country. If he keeps up his strong season, there’s no reason why he should not be a finalist for the Heisman Trophy.
