That’s what Penn State is showing off on a Friday night as it prepares to take the field on Saturday against Illinois in a throwback uniform. And the Nittany Lions are showing just how specific they’re being with the details.

Penn State’s social media team fired off a tweet with a closer look at some of the intricate details of Saturday’s uniform. It’s the kind of stuff that may not come across the television screen.

Below is a look at some of the images Penn State is sharing regarding its uniform look on Saturday:

Penn State’s game against Illinois is Homecoming. The team has also repainted its end zones for this weekend’s contest, giving the field at Beaver Stadium a bit of a different look.

The Nittany Lions head into Saturday’s game with a 5-1 record and are looking to bounce back from a loss to Iowa two weeks ago. Last week, Penn State was on the bye.
