Purdue is getting set for Thursday’s TransPerfect Music City Bowl vs. Tennessee, and the Boilermakers are busting out a great look for the contest.
After a dramatic 8-4 season with some big upsets, Purdue now gets a chance to win 9 games for the first time since 2003. A win would also give the Boilermakers their first bowl win since Jeff Brohm’s initial season in 2017.
For Thursday’s bowl game, Purdue will bust out an all-black set that includes a black helmet. The matte helmet will feature gold logos and metallic gold accents.

Though Purdue has a shot to end the year on a high note, the Boilermakers will be severely shorthanded for the contest. According to reports to open the week, WR Milton Wright, CB Dedrick Mackey, and OT Greg Long are unlikely to play against Tennessee. Those reported absences are in addition to stars David Bell and George Karlaftis foregoing the bowl to begin preparations for the NFL Draft.
