Alabama receiver Jaylen Waddle is “likely” to play in Monday night’s National Championship game, per a report.

That’s according to AL.com’s Matt Zenitz, who reports Waddle, his family and Alabama will make a final determination after pre-game warmups.

Waddle suffered what was thought to be a season-ending injury against Tennessee on Oct. 24.

Despite De’Vonta Smith winning the Hesiman Trophy this season, it’s possible Waddle is Alabama’s most talented receiver when healthy. He’s scored 17 touchdowns and averaged over 19 yards per reception in his career with the Crimson Tide.

If he’s able to play vs. Ohio State, it would potentially be a game-changer for Alabama’s already-explosive offense.

Alabama QB Mac Jones is already on the record saying the Buckeyes defense will be the best the Tide have faced all year.

Kick off is at 8 p.m. ET.
