Michigan State will be without a few bodies in the season opener.

Head coach Mark Dantonio and the Spartans are getting ready to take on Tulsa Friday night. Looking to start strong and put 2018 behind them, Michigan State is hoping to make quick work of the Golden Hurricanes.

Unfortunately, Chris Solari with The Detroit Free Press is reporting that three Spartans are not dressed and will be out for the season opener. Those players are running back Anthony Williams Jr. and defensive ends Michael Fletcher and Jack Camper.

That leaves Michigan State extremely thin at defensive end with Fletcher and Camper joining Zachary Slade on the sidelines. Williams was also looking to get some playing time as a true freshman. He was listed as a co-backup on the first depth chart of the season behind starter Connor Heyward.

Hopefully, missing these players will not slow the Spartans down in the season opener and they can return to action quickly.
