A number of Rutgers fans have voiced their support for a reunion with Greg Schiano, and some of them are even putting their money where their mouth is.
The current Schiano saga is still ongoing. That in itself is a bit of good news. Last week, it was beginning to be reported that a deal to bring Schiano back to the Scarlet Knights had fallen through. Then, on Wednesday, it was reported that there was still the possibility of a deal between the two sides getting salvaged.

As many have campaigned for a return from Schiano, Jon Newman has taken that a step further. He put out a tweet asking for fans to pledge money to the R Fund in the event that Schiano does indeed return to the Scarlet Knights.
As of Thursday morning, Newman indicated that over $200,000 has been pledged:
#Rutgers Nation supporting the return of @GregSchiano in full force.
More than 900 @R_Fund pledges totaling more than $215,740,

The 52 is an homage to Eric Legrand, the former Rutgers player who was injured during his Scarlet Knights career.
Some fans have taken Newman’s request a step further, pledging above and beyond the $52 mark:

Jon add 00 to my ordinal $52 for $5200. I’ll gladly do this if Greg is brought back. I can’t accept any other solution
