The dust is starting to settle on Week 1, and SEC Network host Paul Finebaum joined ESPN’s SportsCenter to discuss the action Sunday morning.

Most of the main competitors made it through Week 1 unscathed, but there is still a lot to take away from the opening week of football. The SEC looked vulnerable with some bad losses while Northwestern and Purdue were the only B1G teams to lose their openers.

During his appearance, Finebaum broke down who he sees as the top four in the country following Week 1. He particularly likes Clemson, Alabama, Georgia, and Michigan.

Clemson demolished Georgia Tech 52-14 with Alabama ripping apart Duke 42-3 in their openers. Georgia also looked good, beating Vanderbilt 30-6. Michigan was solid and impressive for stretches with a 40-21 win over Middle Tennessee.

Here is what Finebaum had to say about the four teams:

1. Clemson Tigers: “They looked good against Georgia Tech, but they better be ready Saturday. They have Texas A&M.”
2. Alabama Crimson Tide: “I’m used to Alabama being No. 1, but they didn’t look impressive. They won and they covered.”
3. Georgia Bulldogs: “Georgia is very obvious. They are close to knocking that door down against Alabama. Will they do it this year? I think they have a reasonable shot. They have Notre Dame in three weeks.”
4. Michigan Wolverines: “I like Michigan. Even though they were sketchy last night, I think they’re going to be around awhile. Me liking Jim Harbaugh is breaking news on a Sunday morning.”
