Shea Patterson broke a Michigan record against Michigan State previously held by Tom Brady

Michigan blew out Michigan State on Saturday. The Wolverines won 44-10 and the Spartans are now 4-6 on the season.

It wasn’t just the passing game for Michigan that dominated. It was the running game. And the special teams. And the defense, too.
But, back to the passing game — senior QB Shea Patterson was great. So great, in fact, that he broke a record held previously by Tom Brady:
Harbaugh on Patterson: "He broke a record for the most passing yards by a Michigan quarterback in a Michigan State game, 384, and the old record was 285 by Tom Brady. By 99 yards. I call that a whale of a game. That’s a heck of a game by the kid. "

Thanks for dropping the knowledge, Harbaugh. But yes, this is impressive. Michigan is typically more known for running the ball effectively, and especially against Michigan State, it’s typically hard to put up incredible offensive numbers (the Spartans always have a productive defense).
What Patterson did Saturday was great. To do that against a rival is just that much sweeter.
