That looked easy: C.J. Stroud connects with Garrett Wilson for 56-yard TD pass

Ohio State redshirt freshman quarterback C.J. Stroud is heating up in the second half vs. Minnesota. Stroud’s first career passing touchdown came on the opening drive of the second half to give Ohio State the lead in a conference clash that’s been back and forth.
After Minnesota re-took the lead on a rushing touchdown by Mohamed Ibrahim, Stroud connected with Garrett Wilson for an effortless 56-yard touchdown pass.

That was a pinpoint pass by Stroud.
Wilson amassed 43 receptions, 723 yards, and six touchdowns in the shortened 2020 season. In 2019, Wilson totaled 432 yards and five touchdowns.
Stroud arrived at Ohio State as a five-star quarterback, the nation’s No. 2 pro-style quarterback, No. 4 overall prospect in California and No. 29 recruit in the nation, according to 247Sports.
Ohio State leads the all-time series 45-7 vs Minnesota and is on a 10-game winning streak in the series.
