Indiana football is the talk of the town in more than just Bloomington.

At 3-0, the Hoosiers are making history with their rise in the polls and wins against established Big Ten powers. Indiana takes its perfect record into East Lansing on Saturday.

But before that FOX college football analyst Urban Meyer had some praise for the Hoosier coaches. He announced it via his weekly coaches of the week video.

Indiana is the lone Big Ten team to have representation this week.

Let’s start with Indiana head coach Tom Allen. He comes in at No. 3 this week, behind Florida coach Dan Mullen and Notre Dame’s Brian Kelly. Both Mullen and Kelly had wins against highly-ranked opponents last week.

Allen’s win wasn’t quite as noticeable on the national stage, but Allen deserves all the credit in the world for what he’s doing in Bloomington this year.

Indiana has all of a sudden become the one team that may have a chance to battle Ohio State for the top spot in the Big Ten East as the Hoosiers hold wins now against both Penn State and Michigan.

As for top coordinators, Indiana’s offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach Nick Sheridan comes in at No. 3. Sheridan has become quite the commodity in 2020.

First he was featured as a top ’30 Under 30′ coach by 247Sports. He’s in his first year as offensive coordinator. He took over after former offensive coordinator Kalen DeBoer took the Fresno State head coaching gig.

Through three games under Sheridan, the Hoosiers have tallied 37 points per game, which is third best in the Big Ten this season.
