The New York Giants may have lost their season opener, but running back Saquon Barkley is off to a hot start!
The former Penn State star is entering his second year in the NFL, and he was on fire from the start against the Dallas Cowboys. Barkley carried the ball 11 times for 120 yards in the win while adding four catches for 19 yards. Unfortunately, he did not get many opportunities in the red zone.
One play that was particularly impressive resulted in just a short gain. However, it was the tenacity and strength of Barkley that stood out.

He took a handoff around the right side and tried to bounce it to the sideline. Unfortunately, he was tripped up but stayed on his feet with a cutback to the inside. From there, he was hit multiple times but bounced off of each one.
Eventually, it took a number of Dallas defenders to wrap up and stop Barkley’s forward progress. But they still never got him to the ground:
