Now, Illinois is riding a three-game winning streak and carries a 5-4 record into a Week 11 showdown with Michigan State. Beyond that, head coach Lovie Smith and the Illini need just one win over the final three games to clinch a bowl game.
ESPN’s FPI has updated the win probability for Illinois in the remaining games, and it looks like the Illini will have a good shot at securing their sixth win. Unfortunately, fans may have to sweat it out for a couple of weeks.
Here is how the FPI is predicting the final three games:
- Nov. 9 @ Michigan State – 12.5%
- Nov. 23 @ Iowa – 11.8%
- Nov. 30 vs Northwestern – 66.9%
