The second half of the Wisconsin-Minnesota game is under way and the Badgers owned a 10-7 lead at halftime thanks to their defense. Jonathan Taylor certainly provided his own bit of magic in the first half, but, when doesn’t he?

Wisconsin forced a punt coming out of the half and its offense took over and was ready for its first possession of the third quarter. It was so ready, in fact, that quarterback Jack Coan threw a perfect ball in the sleet and snow to wide receiver Quintez Cephus, connecting on a 47-yard TD:

Yes, Cephus was on a linebacker here. If Minnesota could take this play back, it would likely have a defensive back lined up on Cephus. But, Coan and the Badgers took advantage.

Again, Coan was throwing with the weather going against him, but that didn’t matter. The pass was perfect and it got Wisconsin a double-digit lead against Minnesota early in the second half.

Since then, the Gophers have scored a field goal, making the game 17-10.

Wisconsin-Minnesota can be seen on ABC.
