Northwestern has gotten off to a rough start in 2019. The Wildcats are 1-2 going into a game against Wisconsin on Saturday.

The Badgers, on the other hand, have been red hot all year long. To this point, Wisconsin has outscored its opponents 145-14. Running back Jonathan Taylor has rushed for 440 yards and 7 TDs while adding another 3 receiving TDs in just three games.

On Monday, in the week leading up to the game against the Badgers, Wildcats coach Pat Fitzgerald talked about how special Taylor is:

“I don’t think you’re gonna stop him,” Fitzgerald said. “If I had a Heisman vote right now, he’s getting my vote. He’s playing outstanding football.”
Fitzgerald stated the obvious with how Taylor has been playing. But what he also said was that if he had a vote to give for who wins the Heisman Trophy, it would go Taylor’s way.
That isn’t saying that Northwestern doesn’t have a chance to win on Saturday. But, the Badgers will be favored and part of it is because of Taylor.
He is that good.
