Northwestern may be traveling Saturday to take on No. 20 Michigan State, but the 1-3 Wildcats aren’t just cowering in fear.

Through one quarter, Northwestern led 7-3 and then just over one minute into the second quarter, the team extended its lead:

Quarterback Clayton Thorson threw a beautiful ball for J. J. Jefferson, who obviously laid out and made a spectacular catch. Northwestern now leads 14-3 in the second quarter and the game can be watched on FS1.

Prior to this dime from Thorson, he threw a 77-yard TD pass to Kyric McGowan.

Thorson, through just a quarter and a half, has completed 13-of-17 passes for 211 yards and 2 TD.
