Nwankpa is a 5-star safety and ranked as the No. 1 prospect in the state of Iowa, according to 247Sports. Notre Dame is the other school in Nwankpa’s top three, and he was in attendance last weekend when Notre Dame knocked off USC in South Bend. 247Sports gives him a 75% chance of ending up in Columbus, per its “Crystal Ball” projections.
He’d be a huge boost for Ohio State’s 2022 recruiting class, which ranks 2nd in the B1G behind Penn State. Kickoff between No. 5 Ohio State and No. 20 Penn State is set for 7:30 p.m. ET on ABC.
