Smith was arrested in 2009 for aggravated battery on his then-pregnant wife. At the time, Smith was on Urban Meyer’s staff at the University of Florida. At the time of the assault, Smith’s wife was 8-10 weeks pregnant.
Now, McMurphy is reporting that another domestic violence allegation from 2015 has surfaced against Smith. No charges were filed at the time of the 2009 alleged assault but the 2015 case is still open.
Smith was on Meyer’s staff for 11 years, dating back to his days at the University of Florida.
Meyer will have a chance to address the situation at B1G Media Days on Tuesday.
