Auburn is anticipated to hire Mike Hartline, the brother of Ohio State wide receivers coach Brian Hartline, according to On3Sports’ Matt Zenitz.

Mike Hartline was most recently an offensive coordinator at Ohio Dominican for the last three years and earned All-SEC honors as a quarterback during his time at Kentucky.

Mike Hartline was also previously an intern for Ohio State and Offensive quality control/assistant quarterbacks for Cincinnati.

Brian Hartline has served as Ohio State’s wide receivers coach since 2019 after being a quality control coach and interim wide receivers coach. Brian Hartline was selected as the National Recruiter of the Year in 2020 by 247Sports and the Wide Receivers Coach of the Year in 2021 by Football Scoop.

Brian Hartline played collegiately at Ohio State. The highlight of his pro career was scoring the game-winning touchdown for the Miami Dolphins in their overtime victory vs. the Baltimore Ravens, the lone win of the 2007 season.

Auburn finished 6-7 this season and was sixth place in the SEC West.
