Maryland has canceled this weekend’s game against Ohio State due to COVID-19.

The Terps have paused all team activities due to an increased number of coronavirus cases. The Big Ten has now canceled three games this season.

“We’re obviously extremely disappointed that we’ll be unable to host Ohio State this Saturday,” head coach Mike Locksley said in a statement.

Ohio State’s next game will be in Week 5 vs. No. 10 Indiana.

The announcement prompted reaction from fans and media who are both surprised at the outcome and frustrated with Big Ten Commissioner Kevin Warren for how the offseason was handled.
