After being carted off with a leg injury, Joe Burrow has tweeted to fans about his injury and it basically confirms that he’s out for the season:

Before that tweet came out, Dr. David Chao reacted to the injury on video for his Twitter account and he said, “The worry is that his season is over.”

This is obviously a massive blow to the Bengals as Burrow was their best player throughout this tough season.

Their record may only be 2-7-1 when he starts, but he still had 13 touchdowns to five interceptions. He also had over 2,500 yards passing and was a serious candidate for rookie of the year.

If his 2020 season is done, starting for the rest of the season will be backup Ryan Finley, who started three games for the Bengals last year. He threw for 474 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions for Cincinnati.

Before he was knocked out of the game, Burrow was involved with a hard collision with Chase Young that forced a fumble. Thankfully that was just a good, hard-nosed football play before Burrow was injured.
