JT Tuimoloau has decided on his plans for the 2024 season. The star defensive end was a key piece of the Ohio State Buckeyes defense in 2023 and had the opportunity to go pro this offseason.

Instead, Tuimoloau will return to the Buckeyes for one more season, per an announcement on his Instagram.

“With heart felt gratitude to my Lord and savior Jesus christ. A sense of unfinished business, and an unbreakable bond with my Buckeye brothers, I am standing firm into my decision to return #GOBUCKS,” Tuimoloau stated.

The DE collected 38 tackles, 7 tackles for loss, and 5 sacks. Tuimoloau has played in 37 games for the Buckeyes and has racked up 83 tackles, 22 tackles for loss, 12 sacks, and 2 interceptions in his career.

The defender is best known for an incredible performance against Penn State in 2022. In that game, Tuimoloau collected 6 tackles with 3 tackles for loss, 1 sack, 1 forced fumble, 1 fumble recovery, 3 pass breakups, 2 interceptions and 1 touchdown.

The Buckeyes, fresh off of seeing the Michigan Wolverines win the National Championship, appear to be going all in for 2024. Star receiver Emeka Egbuka and running back TreVeyon Henderson have also announced their decision to return for one more season.
