In Week 1, Ohio State got off to a lightning-quick 28-0 lead against Florida Atlantic and went on to win 45-21.
For Week 2, the Buckeyes will get a bit more of a test with Cincinnati coming into Ohio Stadium. Cincinnati doesn’t only have better overall talent than Florida Atlantic, but it also has a head coach in Luke Fickell who knows the Buckeyes very well.

Fickell coached at Ohio State from 2002-16 in many different roles — one of which being the interim head coach in 2011. Fickell also played at Ohio State from 1993-96.
Again, he knows the Buckeyes.
Ahead of what should be an intriguing football game, Fickell spoke about his return to Columbus:
Cincinnati coach Luke Fickell, speaking on the American Athletic Conference teleconference now, said he is trying to remain "very unemotional" about returning to Ohio State this weekend. Just wants to focus on preparing for the game.

Fickell will be dialed in to beating his Alma Mater. No doubt about that.
Will there be much emotion behind the game altogether? Of course there will.
Despite Fickell trying to stay “unemotional.”
