Marvin Harrison Jr. is off and running with a huge performance against Michigan State. He has 2-for-2 on touchdowns with Ohio State scoring 14 points right out of the gate.

The first touchdown of the game was an uncommon one for the wide receiver, scoring his first rushing touchdown as a Buckeye off an end-around handoff. However, his second score of the game is one fans are more accustomed to seeing.

This time, Harrison beat a Spartan defender in one-on-one coverage down the sideline. Without help over the top, Kyle McCord was able to drop a beautiful ball in over the top where only Harrison could get it.

Single coverage was no match for Harrison, and he beautifully hauled in the catch while getting a foot down:

That touchdown goes down as the 28th receiving touchdown of Harrison’s career, snapping a tie with Cris Carter for 4th in program history. Harrison now trails just Chris Olave, David Boston and Devin Smith in Ohio State history. The program record is held by Olave with 35.

With Harrison likely to be a top-5 pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, he is running out of time to potentially catch Olave for the program record. It would take a massive effort, but it is also unwise to count Harrison out.
