Ohio State can accomplish something this year that's never been done in B1G football history
Want to hear an interesting statistic?
The Big Ten has never had an outright three-peat football champion. Sounds weird, right? Considering the history and greatness of the Big Ten, it’s weird that one school hasn’t dominated for just one three-year period before.
Ohio State has been the outright Big Ten champion the past two seasons. If it does so again in 2019, it will make history.
In 2017, Ohio State finished 12-2 overall and 9-1 in the Big Ten. To close out the B1G season, the Buckeyes defeated Wisconsin 27-21. In 2018, the Buckeyes went 13-1 and again, 9-1 in B1G play. To close the season, Ohio State beat Northwestern 45-24.

So, will Ohio State be winners once again in 2019? The Buckeyes aren’t favored to win their own division this season — Michigan is — let alone the Big Ten outright. Of course, if Ohio State does get past every divisional foe and makes it to the conference title game once again, it will have to defeat whoever comes from the B1G West.
Odds show that if that happens, the Buckeyes will likely be favored.
There are many keys to this season going right for the scarlet and gray. One of course is QB Justin Fields, the newcomer from Georgia.

If he gets the offense rolling, the Buckeyes will be tough to stop. Defensively, as always, there is plenty of talent in Columbus.
It may likely all come down to The Game, though.
That takes place on Saturday, Nov. 30 in Ann Arbor.
If the Buckeyes win that one, they will likely be just one win away from making B1G history and becoming the first outright three-peat champion.
We can’t wait to see how it all plays out.
