Ohio State has arrived at its first bye week of the season with an unblemished record.

The Buckeyes got the job done against Michigan State in Week 6 as they shut down the Spartans in Columbus. It was the latest in a line of complete performances under head coach Ryan Day that puts the team in a great position moving forward.

Coming out of a Week 7 bye, the Buckeyes will face Northwestern before taking on No. 8 Wisconsin in the Horshoe. While nothing is a given, Ohio State remains in pole position for the B1G moving forward.

As Justin Fields and company hit the bye week, ESPN updated its Playoff Predictor. According to Seth Walder, Ohio State retains the best percentage to make the College Football Playoff and is the only team currently above the 70% mark.

Hopefully, this is a positive foreshadowing:

Penn State (18%) and Wisconsin (14%) were the only other B1G teams on the list. Barring a drastic outcome, the B1G seems destined to come down to one of Ohio State, Penn State, or Wisconsin.
