The junior joins a couple other huge names returning to Ohio State next season —  Receiver Chris Olave and left tackle Thayer Munford.

The Buckeyes will have a tall task with replacing players like Justin Fields and Shaun Wade, but getting returning production like Smith to buy in for 2021 will make a big impact.

This seems like a good fit for both parties involved, as OSU gets to keep an experienced pass rusher while Smith will have an excellent opportunity to improve his draft stock.

The Buckeyes’ pass rush should be excellent next season, led by potential breakout star Zach Harrison.

In his collegiate career, Smith has six tackles for loss and four sacks in 20 total games.
