Ohio State DL Ty Hamilton reveals decision on 2024 season.
Ohio State defensive lineman Ty Hamilton is not done in Columbus quite yet.
An impact defensive tackle for the Buckeyes, Hamilton has spent four seasons in the program. He did not see significant action until the 2021-22 season and finally produced a breakthrough season in 2023.
On Monday, Hamilton confirmed he will be back with the program for another year in 2024. He provides further stability along the defensive front heading into a crucial season.
“First of all, I would like to thank God for the opportunity and blessing it is to be here at the Ohio State. I want to thank my family and my coaches for helping me along the way in this journey, but I think there is still some unfinished business that needs to be taken care of for the brotherhood,” Hamilton wrote on social media. “With that being said, I will be returning for another year. Go Bucks!”

During the 2023 season, Hamilton had a career-best season with 38 total tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss and 2 sacks. His best performance came in the Cotton Bowl with 6 tackles, 2 TFL and a sack against Mizzou.
Hamilton joins fellow DL Tyleik Williams with a decision to return, providing the Buckeyes the solid makings of a stout interior next season. Key safety Lathan Ransom also said he would return, similarly citing “unfinished business” in his announcement.
